As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and refining system architectures, ensuring the alignment of CCTV, Access Control, Cable/Fiber infrastructure, Networking/Data systems, and VOIP/Paging solutions with business objectives, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Architecture Design: Develop detailed system architectures and design specifications for new technology systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements to ensure solution designs meet organizational needs.
- Solution Development: Design scalable, secure, high-performance technology solutions, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Implementation Oversight: Oversee the implementation of technology solution designs, ensuring that all components integrate correctly and that the system functions as intended.
- Optimization: Evaluate existing technology systems for performance improvements and recommend enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and user guides, for technology solution designs.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve technology system issues and ensure minimal downtime.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that technology solution designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, project managers, and lead technicians to deliver cohesive technology solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in CCTV, Access Control, Cable/Fiber infrastructure, Networking/Data, and VOIP/Paging solutions design or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in system design tools and methodologies.
- Experience with various operating systems, databases, and network protocols.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred but not required
- Experience with project management methodologies.
